Will it ever snow again?
I’d like to get some more snow pictures of our lovely county but since I took those on the catalogue sheet it just hasn’t snowed properly. We’ve had a couple of inches which looks nice for a couple of hours but with leaden skies the pictures tend to turn out flat and dull and there’s a limit to what you can do with Photoshop. Let’s hope we get a good couple of feet overnight with a sunny morning to follow. There will be widespread panic and soothsayers in London Street proclaiming the imminent arrival of The End but I’ll be at my desk by then with a camera full of new Norfolk-in-the-snow pictures. If you take one you think is good, please let me see it, but don’t forget to wind up the resolution on your camera first. Printing demands big files for maximum quality. Good shootin’!

Your own picture on your Christmas Card
Do you have a picture that you would like to use on a Christmas card? We bet you have. It can be your staff in front of your new building, a child’s painting, anything you think might look good. A colour print or a digital file will be absolutely fine, send it in, we will do the technical stuff and even give you a colour proof on the right card. There’s a charge of £35 plus VAT for this on top of the price list enclosed. Please just give us a call to let us know it’s coming.
As ever, if you’re unsure about anything please give us a call, we won’t try to tie you in to a long-term Christmas card contract until 2027, we’ll just be helpful! Norwich 768 768.

The price of Christmas Cards
Our competitors are charging an astonishing amount for personalised Christmas cards - why do people pay this much? J. Arthur Dixon’s price for 50 cards with colour inside and out is a thumping £150 plus VAT. We come in at £93 plus VAT, under two-thirds, because that’s a fair price and we reckon our customers like good value-for-money.
And we will give you personal service and you get local scenes and you can’t get any of these elsewhere. The pictures and illustrations were commissioned and designed solely for the Quickprint Christmas Card Catalogue. We think it’s unbeatable, what about you?

Get your (letter) head round this
What’s your business? Could you put a picture on your letterhead that shows what you do? Do you want to make real impact with your letters? Print it in full colour! Honestly, the cost of printing a couple of thousand letterheads in four colour process is not going to be dramatically different from that for two colours, and the more you run the less the difference will be.
We’re quite serious about this. With our new technology there are several old taboos that are ripe for being broken and this is one of them.

We encourage you to sneer, don’t we?
at people who are cheap, I mean. Cheap as chips, cheap as sin, cheap as yer like, stack ‘em up, sell ‘em off cheap. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Hang the quality and service, just be cheap. Awful. Usually at this point I loftily quote John Ruskin with his apposite remarks on the value of goods and losing everything if you don’t pay enough.
Imagine my horror when I find that my colour printing prices are viewed as cheap! And I was quite happy with them. It seems that the numbers on my new DI machine add up to profitability for me and low prices for you.
Perhaps you should make hay whilst the sun shines...
